We shall see.
If she makes good power I'll be a happy camper.
Thinking I need to spray paint those wheels.
White or silver?

In reply to AndreGT6:
Yeah, I know... Was hoping a couple on mm wouldn't make much difference... I'm still on a casual search for 14x6 wheels for the GT6.
I hear ya on the $$$ front... I have over $3000 into a new race bike I haven't even seen yet...
I vote white for the wheels to match the gumballs.
Tuning and race prep operations start next week.
Picking up some VR1 oil today so I can switch over the oil system shortly.
Lots to do before the June race weekend.
That said I looked over my notes from 2010.
Thrashing away in May weeks before the race.
Rolling out an "unknown" car.
Craziness.

Have them powder-coated and then give them a coat of RejeX once a year at the end of the season. Amazing stuff.
Well, in that case I'd probably just clean it up as much as possible and mount the tires. If the wheels are already pretty dirty it'll be tough to clean them up enough for paint to adhere well unless you can sandblast them - which is much of the labor in powdercoating.
I was tempted to do a de-grease job and see how it goes from there.
Might just be safer to wash them up and keep prepping for the race.
Lots to do plus the weather has been crap so not like I have a place to just let them bake in the sun.
Seating/belt.
Last summer I found myself moving around to much with the new belt setup.
I thought it was the seat being to wide. Turned out to be the belt clasps were resting on the side of the seats preventing me from really snitching the lap belts down tight.
I moved the seat forward giving the setup more room and also slightly changing my driving position.
The spot provides more bend to my arm which should help. I maintained a down angle into the seat and even managed to lover it down a bit more.
I also adjusted the anti sub belts bringing the bucket up higher.
This should provide a far better arrangement.
I should paint the cockpit again.
New spot. Notice the back rest hole is almost an inch above the old spot.
I tested my legs a few times before drilling the holes. A little different but my knee still clears the wheel and I can still manage to heel and toe.
Another item (important one) off the list.
Oh god that was a good giggle.

Just warming the oil up so I could change it but simply had to get some audio :)
Oil filter.
Oil housing.
Race system is ready.
So cool.
R888's were mounted today.
Paint held up very well to the install.
Used sticky weights.
Taped to ensure they stay put.
They look very nice I do think.
Should help my lap times.
Hung with care...
Silly what a little wax and red paint do.
I need to run her up and down the block to set up the rear. Not sure if the camber is right.
I set it up with my old worn out RA1's so I'm thinking the fresh meat on the R888's is causing issues.
Andre.
Ran a compression (cold) test last night. 195/190/165/160 so the back 2 cylinders are not seated yet for sure.
Engine has no miles on it yet but now I have numbers for reference.
I'll run the engine for the Friday session and then take a reading Saturday morning to compare.
