Some of you may have noticed the white fuel filler tube on the gas tank in a previous pic. I'd shot the tank in epoxy primer and painted the tank red but wanted the filler neck to be silver. Because it needs to withstand gasoline, a spray can approach wouldn't cut it. So I sanded the epoxy primer with 320 and shot it with the Lotus Silver base coat I'd painted the roll cage with and then used a high quality matte clear over it. So it should hold up if any gas gets spilled on it. So the tank is in acrylic enamel and the filler tube is BC/CC and both can withstand gasoline.
