The rear uses a transverse leaf. Its a simple design and you can easily add spacers to the perch that rests against the spring which drops the car....

Went with the vintage American Racing Spectre II wheels I had. Also installed a set of Vitaloni mirrors.

Warning, there are 2 lengths of X1/9 struts. Not every brand are correct. I will measure the spring pan to upper bolt distance on the KYBs I have in stock, they are taller than the Konis I have in my car now. Your car looks proper!

Here is a rear strut from an X1/9 made by KYB. This is the shortest I have seen. It is 7" on the nose from the spring perch to the top mounting hole center. My Konis in my car are 1.3 inches taller. Sorry I was wrong in previous post about which were taller.

Decided to upgrade to a European Fiat 128 Rally instruments. I found a cluster with the tach and the OEM auxiliary gauge pod.  Will update once wired and operational.
