Im excited!!!!
And the fiberglass interior comment has my brain rolling.....
Not a horrible idea. And quite possibly the solution to dome other baffling fabrication problems.....
Im not sure hanging out with me is such a great parenting decision. Unless its as an example of what poor decisions will get you....
Car probably won't run tomorrow, but expect a huge swath of work/planning!

Hey who's at the wheel.............too much smirkin' goin' on ?????
In reply to Lil_Stampie :
Orange food and orange drink!
If mom asks what you ate, just answer Orange. It will sound like your eating healthy fruit.
Not the Challenge hotel but two beds to sleep in is good enough. Lil Stampie's eyes lit up when they said pancakes and donuts at the hotel breakfast so we'll probably eat here.
I just had to explain to Mrs. Deuce why Stampie and Steve are in Duster's garage working on Patrick's car. I don't think she wanted the long form answer.
Nobody needs the whole story, Seth
also if you don't make the HUD work i'm gonna kick you in the sack, crawford
In reply to mazdeuce - Seth :
Theres a lil stampie and pops dusterbd not pictured. Brother dallas had to bail.
Damn good day.
In reply to Patrick :
Every effort will be made to get the HUD to work. One of the coolest berkeleying things ever about a C5 in my opinion
In reply to untchabl :
More taking stock and making a plan than actually working. So, you didn't miss much!
If i can make my laptop behave, ill do a real update....
That was a long two days. I just got back to Jacksonville after dropping Lil Stampie with Grandma Stampie along 95 in SC.
First let me say that I really question Pat's ability as a Challenge competitor. What Challenge builder leaves $2.27 in recoup still inside the car?
Other than that it was everything I was hoping for and more. As we drove up Lil Stampie pointed to the garage and excitedly said "Darth Nader is in there!" That set the tone for us today. We spent a lot of time going over the car and discussing plans. Things I was worried about turned out not so bad. For example the seating position isn't so bad. Yeah it'll suck if you're the first car at the red light but I can live with that.
I left really happy with what Pat sold me and what the plans are for it. I keep being surprised at how Michael and I really have the same thoughts on what direction it needs to go in. Of course I have to hold him back some like no we don't need underglow lights. I can tell that I need to keep Lil Stampie and Michael separated because those two tend to get wild ideas.
I've talked with Steve before of course and have always walked away impressed with him. Today was interesting because it was my first time seeing him in a working environment instead of a theoretical discussion environment. If possible I think I have even more respect for him. I'm very humbled that he and Michael are willing to work on Nader.
Even though I'm worn out I'm all happy inside. That usually doesn't happen once you get looking at all the little details of a project car.
Not to mention the challenge competitor that sold it to pat in the 1st place. I am slacking as well...
In reply to Stampie :
Yes, Steve and Michael are great guys.
I chatted with Michael during the Challenge about this project and we both agreed you should name the car Darth Nader: Dirt Track Hack.
Wait a minute. Are you trying to tell me that that a c5 went through 2 challenge competitors, one of those removing large chunks of it while it was in his possession, and at no point did anybody check for loose change? That's actually impressive.
