"Dragon' it home"

WE just need to stop getting distracted.....

It's the donor for the Volvo swap.  2006 GTO with a six speed manual.  It has a lot of miles, but runs and drives fine.

OK NOW we can get back to the Dragon.......

Well, I ordered parts fo the Dragon today.  A short shifter and a new linkage for the transmission.

I also ordered Bilstein B6 shocks for th car.  They are green, I guess.  

OK so we had to do some stuff on the GTO, which is the drivable donor for the Volvo.

We changed the transmission fluid, and though it is a Manual transmission, it takes automatic transmission fluid.

We had a check engine light and the throttle response was super slow.  We had ordered a K&N cold (warm) air intake to replace the monstrosity that was the current intake. 

It had the MAF sensor directly attached to the throttle body with the worst air filter ever n vented and never changed.

Look how bad the MAV screen is covered with filth and pieces of the air filter.

The K&N kit moved MAF back to closer where it was when there was a factory air box.

I cleaned the MAF with MAF cleaner and go t all the crap off it.   The check engine light is gone without us having to reset the computer, so that is nice.  And for some reason the ABS light is out now too, Maybe something to do with vacuum?  We noticed that the vacuum line was attached super sketchy to the hose before we moved it to the K&N pipe.  Now we only have an airbag light on.

The car's throttle response is very good now and low rpm power seems stronger.

Good times.  OK, so maybe now we can get to work on the Dragon.... LOL

The GTO is the 6.0 LS2 with a 6 speed manual transmission.  Like I mentioned, it is the drivable donor for the Volvo, AFTER we finish the Dragon.

broke down the rear calipers. Ordered complete rebuild kit as these pistons look to be shot.  One stuck in the other stuck out. 
 

I'll clean them up and paint them. 
 

These bushings appear to be polyurethane one thing that won't need replacing.
