What flavor are those coil-overs?  Can you go into detail on your selection process?

Inexpensive, lol. I've used qa1's for years. They are single adjustable twin tubes, so they work well on smooth surfaces. Autocross or track days. Maybe double adjustable shocks in the future.

I took it for a spin around the block and it is basically a big go kart, lol. It has some drivability issues, misses and stumbles, but it's getting closer.

What great pics - will be studying them!  Did you make the front A-arms or source them somewhere?  What front spindles did you use?  Thanks - good luck!  Bob

Oooo this is so cool.

How much travel does the rear have?  Seems like if you are making your own frame & whatnot, you would benefit from moving the upper shock mount way up for some mega travel?

An update. I'm currently working on composite fender flares, hood and front bumper as well as suspension tuning, brake bias.

I was planning on a twin turbo set-up, but for autocross I'm not sure the power will help, I may op for an E-85 tune.

We have a very competive Cam-T class here in Boise, ID. and the truck is very competitive on 4 year old small tires.

In reply to ProDarwin :

Hey, sorry for the late reply. It has aprox. 8" of travel front and rear, way more than whats needed for autocross.

In reply to Belltownbikes :

The chassis and A arms are all designed and fabricated by me. The front knuckles are from a Honda S2000.

Somehow I missed this thread. This is such an awesome truck, and I am an avid autocrosser, so there's all sorts of appeal to me.

are there any videos?

The Ranger is coming along.

Making progress, I will post some pictures soon.

I got rid of the dual mass flywheel and installed a better clutch as well.

I'm working on an electric power steering unit and completing the fender flares.
