Love what you are doing. You may want to consider making a side piece from the top of roll bar back to the body where it curves back inward towards the engine. I think this will give it more flow. It would kind of mimic the back half of the top you removed but only on the sides.
Thanks for the suggestion! I think it'll work well, this is what you had in mind right?

That is exactly what i was thinking. I feel it gives it just a bit more flow and similar to the one in this link.

I hated to see the red leather go but it was impossible to match and fading to pink so I decided to wrap it in some left over headliner suede from my 540i project. Super super easy, maybe an hour of work with the dash in the car. Now to recover the rest of the red I still need to glue the bottom of the dash as well...ran out of glue

That came out very well. Would love to see this in person one day if you attend any meets in VA.
dang. that dash is killer! Might need to try that in my 914 one day. The rest of the transformation is also looking cool!
I am in Maryland, near the national harbor. Just across the bridge from Alexandria.
Small update: the targa roof is roughed in the top plate will eventually go under the side ones. Also working on making aluminum block off plates to clean up the interior. This has been one of the more fun projects, nothing better than simple fab

All roughed in! I'm loving it

Now there's a good idea! I'll do my best😅
I love the whole "just let the engine hang out the back" aesthetic. Very Porsche racecar.
Didn't make it to the car show, but I did get some interior work knocked out with the youngest. Hard to tell but there's no more exposed metal. Long way to go though.

Missed the new thread. This is awesome. I do agree with however that was on keeping it just turbo though until its sorted.
I'm still really struggling with the top of the windshield angle, but it looks OK I guess. Probably not bad enough to buy more lexan. Sitting in the car now and looking over the windshield I can tell this is going to be terrifying

I think it looks great! Two suggestions:
Child Seat on the right side:

And maybe some black channel molding to top off the Lexan.

Very cool! Hey, what's the thickness on the plexi windshield?
finally got it out! Man it's a blast

Talk about race car for the street, lol. Did you wear a helmet or just glasses when you went out? I imagine the wind is still pretty strong even with the windshield.

Haven't figured that out yet, ha! I've been cruising around in sunglasses. Worked out so far
i made some more progress on the interior. I'm swapping the digital dash for an old school look. I found a 40 year old new old stock Porsche tach and am in the process of wiring up a fuel and speedo.

I've been having a blast just driving this thing but as always I can't resist dabbling in projects. Working on installing some 993 tail lights. Loving it so far.

I like where you are going with this. I would make a connection from the far edges up and over to the bottom of the fenders by the other lights you have. Kinda fill in some of the void and make the lights stand out more.
