Seriously, though. "326 Cathedral" just doesn't have the same flow as "340 Wedge".

the LS is still a wedge I think, so we can go with that.

They're a possibility.
But then again, so itls this
It's your car, you can paint it however wrong you want to.
In reply to tuna55 :
You know, the real beauty of a beater race car is being able to paint it wrong many, many times for like $25 in krylon.
I could change liveries, colors, stripes and graphics like socks.
Since im waiting for covid test results, im stuck in the office.
So, in between calls and meetings and emails, im cleaning and painting and making a list for the nascar parts places dad and i are going to Thursday (assuming no covid).
My list isn't all that long, suprisingly!
And most is an Amazon order away, but im hoping for cheaper.
I do need to figure out how to assemble the full floating rear once i get the axles. It doesn't appear intuitive. I also need to figure out a good way to measure the inside bore of the axle tubes where they mate with the pumpkin so i can find seals for that point.
And decide if i want a locker or limited slip. Ive never had a locker, and ive heard that the engagement is pretty harsh.
I heart this thread, stampies thread, and many others.
I feel a track day at cmp or Roebling road for out beasts next spring. I think that should happen.
In fact.... stampie, Michael, I will pay your track day fees if we can get our cars together next April at Roebling road.
Fast lap buys dinner.
Edit to add... I'm expected an expensive day that includes paying for 3 steaks...
Just as an observation, your collection of shock bodies have snap ring groves. You can use the snap rings to set the lower spring cup on what works out to be a coil over shock.
For a reference, look up the rear shocks on a 1976-1983 BMW E21. The sport shocks had that snap ring with groves to adjust the ride height of the car.
I hope this is the case with your shocks.

Assuming it all gets together, im game!
And im pretty sure I'll be buying dinner. Between shortness of power and drive inability, dfl is in my bones!

I believe you are right. The 30 series konis are designed with the slide over sleeve in mind.
I cannot think of a reason to ise that feature in this application at this time, but it is an option.

I'm in and expect that I'll pay for dinner.
As a bleachers kinda guy, I'd love to see it happen. Even if it's from afar.
And Michael, hope it's not Covid. Me and my wife had a bout with it last month. Luckily, it wasn't too severe.
