I’m not sure you needed to cut that access hole. I seem to recall going through the wheel well and I haven’t seen those on our own cars. Too late now, but if anyone else is getting ready to do this please let me know first.
Well, I learned something today. Turns out you do have to cut this access hole on an NC to bolt in the plates for the main hoop. The wheel well access is for the rear legs. Carry on!

Thanks! i have much to ponder while i wait for the company to decide what day/month they're going to pay out our 2018 bonus.
So while I’m working on the car and restoring it to essentially stock form a friend of mine has a car that is tempting me. It’s a 2006 STR prepped NC. A car which I used to raw time everyone last year. He’s wanting 10K for it which is getting to be a fairly reasonable vector from my asking price. Decisions decisions.......
Front suspension on today. As seen the lowering springs are fairly short in their uncompressed state. Going back to factory springs however meant using my HF spring compressors and cranking them in for forever.
Also replaced the shifter bushing. Turret was dry and the plastic bushing broke when I took it off. Fab9Tuning brass bushing went in and filled the turret about 1/2 way up with 90 weight. Shifting action is very precise but a bit tight yet.
