Got the cobra up and going after 12 years asleep. Fresh fuel and a carb rebuild and she's ready to rip.
Got the brakes more sorted in Norma. Just need some pre flared line and brakes are done

Casually slips Cobra pics into thread...
Well OK then! That’s sweet, more on both please!
Wow nice job getting those fans in, I know it wasn’t easy.
I’ve always admired a nice looking serpentine conversation like you’ve got, but I have to admit I think twice about it now that I see how much space it’s taken up in your engine compartment.

Yes yes of course. I mean, who amongst us doesn’t have a spare Cobra or two hiding in the rafters. Well played...
Slipping that Cobra in reminds me of a dude I saw at a restaurant a few times. He pretty consistently drove a very nice Mercedes sedan, but that's not saying much, anyone can splurge. Then one day he drove a Maserati. One nice/expensive car is one thing. Two? There's a story there. Of course a while later he brings in the Cayenne Turbo so we had to talk.
It's my FIL cobra. 351 Windsor kit car. Old enough build that it has us hose clamps on it. Its been sitting in the body shop for as long as I have known my wife and it needed some love.
Should have the master in early next week. Then just bleeding the brakes and that system should be checked off the list. I'm getting closer to transmission install which is the last big hurdle to get it back on the road. Deadline for Norma is July 31st
Cobra is done. New valve cover gasket's, fresh fuel, new plugs and a fuel line. Ran it around the body shop a couple times and ran pretty good.
Feeling good and back to the galaxie to finish her up.
Got the master installed, got the fan shroud mocked up more and ready for final assembly.
Got the motor torn down and ready for bell housing runout.
Spent most of the time today redoing the brakes. I put the rotors on the wrong side on the front. Dumbass
Had a buddy came out and we thrashed tonight.
Got the headlights converted over to led.
Hydraulic clutch is installed
Plate for auxiliaries is mounted.
Transmission will fit as a direct bolt in. Unreal
bellhousing runout is done and the offset dowels showed up this afternoon.
Tomorrow trans install
Driveshaft is on order.
65 3/4 inches fully compressed. Once the driveshaft is in the driveline is done.
This week I'm going to focus on finishing the last of the installs of the small parts. (Cdi box, Radiator, Column)
After those are complete all that's left is running lines and wiring.
Insert joke about genetics. Driveshaft is drying overnight after some black base-coat and hardner.
Tomorrow night we are going thrash on the wiring. Got a large load of parts coming tomorrow to get most everything else finished. Still a lot to do but it's downhill at this point.
I'm having a car show at my business on July. 31st. Still possible to make it.
Cars out at another shop getting the brake lines made.
clutch is bled
more parts acquired and more stuff on the way. Should be a pretty close to first fire on Monday.
Starting system check.
We have communication with the Fi-tech Ecu. The little green man in there seems happy and is allowing us to send the files in and out.
Need some fittings, filter the gas and then first fire time.
You'll need to log in to post.
