Thank you. Still got a ways to go to make it a reliable driver that I don't need to be sweating as I'm driving it.

did a little Christmas Eve shoot today on this 38 Buick. Customer didn't want a full resto so we didn't remove any of the trim. The roof on this one was crushed down about 18 inches from a building falling on it. Gonna be real cool. Gonna shoot the other half on Monday.
getting closer. Having to mix it in after normal collision is done for the day. Should put a big hurt on the rest of the work tomrorow.
Just got confirmation. My dealer is getting one ford lighting. Just finished putting in my order and finalizing configuration. Should see it late July.
Anyone have a good recommendation on sealant for water jacketed exhaust ports? Need something that is going to hold up to heat.
Looks like she's all ready to go.
Supposed to get down to -7F here tonight, but we are on the downhill side of winter.
Very nice! I kind of sort of have a 4 door slant 6 Mercury Comet around the same year ish I hope to do something with sometime.
Kind-of-sort-of meaning its just parked at our place and landlord said I could have it lol. You probably know more about it than me.

Please do not call that a slant six. It is bolt upright, and you will hurt its feeling with the Mopar reference.
As much as I'd like a 4-door for the convenience of having people get in and out, I'd be more than happy with a running 2-door that can make some long trips if needed (maybe that's asking for trouble, lol).
That thing sounds AMAZING.

Thought I might hurt some feelings lol
Pretty sure that car is the least desirable it could be.
Are you keeping the Galaxie, or replacing it with the Elky? Either way, great thread and I can't wait to see what you do with it.
Galaxie is staying this is a fill project for the shop. See how it turns out. It's in Florida I'm in Iowa. Need to figure that out
pulled the steering gear this morning. It's worn out. Seal rebuild kits incoming.
went to go address the water jacketed exhaust ports and ran into a HUGE problem. Went to retorque the heads and intake. Been through a few heat cycles at this point and it's time. First head bolt was at 20ft/lb when it started spinning . Stands and rockers need to come off at this point and potentially the heads. Berk, Berk, Berk
(supposed to be at 80ft/lb)
