Holy hell.... getting parts is a berkeleying nightmare. 3-4 weeks to get my tophats has now turned into 10+ weeks and I MIGHT have them by Nationals.
Why is EVERYTHING so friggin difficult to get?

I literally LOL'd.
In the same boat. Gave up on the idea of going several weeks ago...a function of not having suspension in hand (Ceika--coming from Taiwan), as well as spending our tire budget on the new uber-underpinnings.

Its hard to believe that only a couple generations separate your civic from that older one.

You can always come drive this one. The co-drive seat is still open. Sway bar should be in this week.
Offer appreciated. I am about to run my first event of 2013 on Sunday (we have a stopgap suspension on the car)...then I have 8 days in a row of working at least 9-9 (for Harley 110th). I will be in a coma the week of Nationals.

So the conversation on about Tuesday night might go a little like this:
Not Bob: "Bob, how many fingers am I holding up?"
Bob: "Thurssssday!"
Not Bob: "Right! ...have another!"

Fixed for accuracy.
So, 11 weeks into a 4 week special order and still no parts. If they are not in my hands by weds, I am getting a refund because this is ridiculous. 5 different arrival dates, and still no parts. Tuesday the dude was rude as berkeley, "100% it will ship on Friday. You call me Friday and it will be shipped."
Whiteline's Veloster RSB is installed. Got a little oversteer on pavement this morning being a dumbass.

bolts right up or needs a little tweaking? it'd be nice to have a rear bar
The Forte doesn't have any holes in the spring pockets to bolt to. So it required drilling 4 holes and bolting it on. The MD Elantra and the Veloster both have the holes in the spring pockets to bolt to so it requires unbolting the lower shock bolt, lowering the torsion beam and bolting them on, then raise the beam and reattach the lower shock bolt.

thats not too bad at least.
Thank you, for pioneering this stuff for the rest of us to follow lol.
This isn't the first time! I did it with theElantra years ago as well. I think I was the first with Sonata rotors and tib calipers on the front of an Elantra.
