We are monitoring exhaust back pressure. We want to make sure that we can spool as fast as possible if we are pulled to the line 2nd, at the same time we don't want to have too high of a drive ratio and cause the power to be down. During this test we were as high as a 1.91 to 1 ratio. That was with a .63 Housing. The next test will be with a bigger housing (higher A/R).

That little guy came from eBay. Should support a lot of horsepower.
cool! so the copper tubing is plumbed to the main exhaust route on one end, and to a pressure sensor at the other? copper to help shed heat for the sensor? Pretty slick.
are the turbos genuine garretts, or knock off? if knock off, that's pretty amazing for a pair of sub $150 turbos
At 17 psi boost the new converter made 35 more HP. Then changed the exhaust housings and made 22 more.
When we cranked the boost to 19 we were making 840 HP (throwing rubber chunks). Above that the tires were spinning and pitching chunks of rubber (even with 200# of weight in the trunk).

Sorry you feel that way. Doesn't change what happened. Feel free to stop looking at the thread. We are just trying to share with the folks who have been enjoying the build.

I pretty sure he was being sarcastic. He has been rooting for you through the entire thread. Hence the winky face. Haha.
In reply to wheels777 : I bringing in "a Christmas story" reference. All your work looks super clean!

I did not realize that.

Thanks you. It's starting to show the wear of competition runs, Dyno sessions and testing. But we really do like sharing it with folks. It's a blast to run and watch.
As always I'm enjoying updates. Be sure to share if Calvin shoots any more videos of the work or walk arounds of what has happened. I always seem to learn something new when he does that.

That's amazing. You make me want to start building and follow this recipe.
