You should buy the turbo setup from my car so I can begin Phase 2, I've got an 11k mile 2zzge that I'm building for boost. 214 @ wheels is really fun, I'm hoping 414 is 200 more funs.

In reply to java230: Nothing exotic is going back in, just a newer 1zzfe from a corolla. Hardest part is swapping over a ton of different brackets, etc.....that and actually dropping the motor

Freaking rusty bolts. Swapping this upright is a whole bunch of WTF.

Broken caliper bolt.... After a week of PB and a torch on it a couple times.

Yeah hopefully it will slide off with the rotor. And then hopefully I can get it out.... Calipers for this things are spendy!

I got pissed off and just put my tools away when it snapped.

And my dad found these for me, $200 with tires I can get a couple months out of! No more out of round wheels!

Wheel speed sensor is mine! It was quite frozen into the old knuckle. A few days of PB helped. It's got a little dent from using a socket to beat it out, hopefully it still works. It was a a $200 plus dollar part! Ouch.

Getting very close to being a roller again.

Glad you guys are enjoying it. I may have time tonight to get the brake caliper and wheels back on it. I really want to drop it and see what the camber is like....

All back together now. But I need cone seat lugs for the new wheels.... I didn't think about that.

But brakes are on and bled. I think all the fluid will need to be changed very soon.

Had just enough time to throw a wheel on and drop it.

That's with the arms adjusted to roughly stock lengths. Definitely better!!

Its alive! Went around the block yesterday. Only rubbing on one loose fender liner. That was fixed. Now for insurance and an emissions test and I can get plates.

Well I gotta get the rear bumper painted and on at some point, but that doesn't stop me driving it! I need to replace the exhaust before I put the bumper on. I think its beyond saving... Its bent is so many different directions I cant even figure it out...

But it turns out im too tall. I had never driven it on the street before. the top 1/3 of my eyesight is in the top of the windshield hoop.... So I will need to address that.

The plan is to autox it some next summer, and have a fun summer DD. Maybe a HDPE. I just put really slick tires on it, so rain won't be fun...

Yeah, that's the one big complaint I hear about this chassis MR2. That's why I haven't really looked at them when looking for cars, because I figured at 6'3" and 240lbs, it wouldn't work too well.
