BTW, the photo does show a bit of rust on the pass front fender. How prevalent is rust elsewhere? Do you know if it was a rust belt car at one time?
For those of us who are un-initiated in the Mustang club, is this basically a fox body but with T-bird clothes? Or entirely different?
What's the reliability of this era Ford product and this drivetrain?

Mine (with 250,000 miles on it) ran like a champ and survived monthly visits to the rev limiter. The floor mat would slip sometimes and pin the throttle to the floor. This made for an exciting couple of moments as it usually happened in second gear as you'd try to keep it pointed straight with one hand while scrabbling around with your other hand to pull the floor mat back.
**you kids today with your floor mats that have hooks to keep them in place just don't know the thrill ride you've missed out on.

The spots on the fender are from the paint being missing there. There are a few cosmetic spots under the trunk lid lip, too. No actual rust anywhere. Always a WA car.
It is a fox body, but unique. Longer control arms, wider track, longer wheelbase. 90% if fox Mustang mechanical stuff works, including SN95 and new edge upgrades including the IRS.
Reliability is almost on par with gravity. EECIV is super easy to diagnose, and all the ECM's are all hacked. Every parts house carries what you need.
Did I mention the permanent WA collector plates?
I almost got stabbed after driving the car three hours to deliver it to a guy who turned out to be a scammer.

I'm not normally this stupid, I'm blaming it on the steroids my doctor put me on. This person had been emailing for two weeks and I sent them photos of every little scratch and dent, the whole history of the car, and the YouTube videos. They supposedly lived on the southern Oregon coast about 6 hours away. They offered me $200 over asking to meet them halfway in Eugene, and future Mrs. Javelin was down for a road trip, so we went for it.
The second I got there this guy starts legit yelling at me for a dent in the hood, that I sent him photos of. He then starts pouring over the front of the car and starts yelling at me that the frame is bent. I'm like dude, it's a unibody, and it's got all original paint and all the factory VIN tags on all the parts. He shows me that the very bottom of the core support has some waves in it, like it was scraped on a parking lot curb thing.
I tell the guy okay, you're right, what do you want to do. He's still yelling everything and says "$2000". I tell him have a nice life and he starts getting in my face. At this point FMJ is filming the guy and his wife says "why are you filming" and she says "because I'm scared and he has a knife". I'm like WTF, I didn't even notice, dude has some big ass knife in his belt and he keeps putting his hand on it!
Once the camera was in their faces they got into their truck to leave, still yelling at me the whole time. I got snookered and I feel like E36 M3 about it. FMJ wasn't mad. We went to Oakshire Brewery to have a pint and some amazing Chinese food from a truck and then drove three hours home in two cars.
I wanted to light it on fire and collect the insurance, but it wasn't the car's fault. In fact, the TC ran flipping perfect the whole time. 330-ish miles there and back through hail, rain, and hella traffic.

Don't beat yourself up on it. I've done more stupid stuff with sales of cars, motorcycles, parts, etc. People are unpredictable when it comes to buying/selling. It's a reason why I stopped flipping motorcycles.
I wish I was closer and had the financial means to jump on this.
I think Mrs. Javlin has it right. Do something to distract you from the adrenaline rush, and move past the inevitable self beating faze.
