Hello all,
As we navigate our current hellscape, I'm selling my TDI Jetta. I purchased a 2.0t Camaro after years of VW's and don't have the time/ability to love both of these cars. I've always been very impressed by the enthusiast community here and I'd love to see the Jetta be enjoyed by a member of that community if possible.
I bought this TDI 3 years back from a family member who had been building it for a couple years prior to that. Love it or hate it, I think the MK5 front end is super cool. The car was pretty well refreshed prior to my buying it, and has been properly serviced and maintained with a few modifications in the time I've owned it as well. It was originally built and tuned (Malone stage 2) with a VNT-15 turbo from an ALH but that failed in 2019. At that time, we installed a BW VNT-17, a new stock SMIC, and removed the catalyst and installed a 2.5" straight piped exhaust. With a 3bar MAP sensor a new owner could get this tuned to stage 4 from Malone without any other modifications.
Maintenance/refreshed components:
Timing belt and clutch within the last 20k miles
Suspension refreshed with stock components
Tires replaced in the last 2k miles
Oil changed every 3000 miles
D/S axle replaced with stock
Crank position sensor replaced
Brand new battery
Modifications:
MK5 Front end (fogs not hooked up, ECode switch installed though)
Malone stage 2, EGR delete
VNT17 Turbo
Straight piped exhaust
Items of note:
Rebuilt Title
Windshield washer tank is cracked
Paint has minor imperfections
Wheels have some evidence of curb rash
Interior is just not in terrible condition, but could be improved. The leather isn't that bad, but I despise the "soft touch" material from MK4 VW's. I've been able to remove some of it but this could be done a lot better.
I'm sure there's more, feel free to ask, I'm not in any hurry to sell so I'm going to leave this posted to GRM only for a while before posting to CL too. Also please don't yell at me for going from a TDI to the Camaro, that thing is stupid fun.
Cheers, Justin
