Dang that looks like a heck of a lot of fun for $850. Toss a few cans of paint at it and you could probably have a nice looking car too.

You are right. I had a Sprite that looked just like that. I painted it very carefully with rattle cans from the drug store, in the closest thing I could find to BRG. Looked pretty decent. It looked even better after the next owner got a cheapo paint job from Econo.

I have a couple of parts left over from a similar Spridget part out. Steering wheel and 2 heater cores, at least. I live about an our north of this car's location.

So what you are telling me is I can pick up the car and on my way home get some spare parts........ This is not good. Good thing my pregnant wife is about to have our baby any day now.

At a glance that looks like a good project starting point. It has no visible rust and the seams between the a-pillar and sill and the B-post to sill are still there.

I have had a few of these way back when, culminating with the Figit ( Fiat 124 engine swap) As cars to work on they are great; street legal gocarts. But as I found out after putting 10 years into restoring the Bugeye, not something I want to drive on todays roads.

Ok so I have to share this story, I am at work tonight and the most random non car guy co worker comes up to me and says hey I bought a project car over the weekend. He then asked do you wanna see a picture. So of course I say yeah sure, he was so excited. He turns his phone around to show me and its this car!!!!! He said he went down there and offered the guy $450 and he took it.

Here is the thing,  these are his exact words tonight. "I have to figure out little honda engines because this car needs a little work." Then he said he wants to put a VW turbo on the car.............. So I have a feeling I might end up with this car in like another year after it sits and rots a little more.

What do you think about co-driving this car to CA. Hahah? (with a question mark to denote how bad an idea this is)

Engine swaps in these are somewhat limited without cutting and welding abilities...

Theres a few good threads on tuning SU carbs running around when he asks for help.

I am a bit surprised that the Florida Midget is still listed, especially at that price, but maybe it's a sign of the times?

If I had a garage, or maybe just a carport, and my property wasn't overrun (or so it seems) by squirrels and moles I would be on this.

I would love to build this up for a bit more speed and a lot more reliability...it's been quite a while since I have done a tune-up on a LBC.
