My friend's old projects. The Austin would make an amazing swap donor. The Volvo would make a great challenge car. He wants someone who will keep it together rather than pull the engine
SOLD The Austin was wrecked about 1/8 mile from the shop who built it. It was quick but had a disconnect in the steering. It drove fine off the trailer and has been parked in a garage since 2016. My neck still hurts from that crash. $500 must take the whole thing.
The Volvo was built by Ross Converse and rewired by somebody who is actually competent. It's fun and fast. It got hit by a tree in Helene. Runs and drives! Wants $2000 with good interior parts to sell off. Bring a trailer.
If anybody is interested I'll pass you on to him

I'm going to need more information on the 960 please.
Says hit by tree, but I don't really see the damage.
Could it be a fly and drive?
I'm not sure if I'd fly and drive it but maybe? I can send you his contact info if you'd like

Yes, easier to see the damage in the new pictures. Still very tempting. Let me ping the rest of the team and get back to you....
It gives me hope to know I can have a V90/960 V8 manual wagon someday for the school run. Not the right time currently, but I 100% didn't realize these were swap candidates like the 240 wagons.
It's just over 8 hours one way.

I do have a tow dolly.......

That 960 is the PL Newman setup! Wish I could swing it.

Can you find out who did the wiring on the Volvo?

Ross wired the 5.0 to a 4.6 ECU using speaker wire. My friend Denis Mitchell redid it with Megasquirt.
Is the Volvo spoken for yet? If not, could I get the contact information?
that's a deal, T56s cost more than that by themselves in my neck of the woods

RE: budget_bandit
As is usual for project cars, the value of parts is way higher than the value of the whole. It's a low mileage 04 Cobra T56 and warmed over Explorer 5.0L, which I'm sure are worth more than the $2000 he wants for the car. The caveat is that he's only willing to sell it to someone who wants to keep the project whole, not just pull the drivetrain.

My '99 Civic could use a B18, but I'm all the way up in PA. That is a good price and that VTEC wail will make someone happy.
