Bad news for me, good news for someone else.

I am having a spinal fusion, so I will be out for a year from any jarring activities. This means rallycross.
so, my rallycross car that I got free from GRM (thanks Brad! Sorry I didn't get to use it!), is now up for free from me.

it's located in sunbury Ohio (43074).
it works just fine, looks like a rally car now, but still has a cracked oil pan. The rear passenger lights don't work.

you can see it's progress on this thread, starting on page 5:

https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/build-projects-and-project-cars/bettie-the-corvettie-fast-car-slow-build-c5-z06/143872/page5/

Would need trailered, and rolled up in the trailer because of the cracked pan.

comes with some old Volvo wheels that have the correct size blizzaks for the Audi wheels too:

I guess the only requirements would be that someone used it for motorsport!
and if you're nearby, when I heal up, I'd like a drive or ride it it for sh*ts and giggles lol.

Would you be cool with it as a first car for a kid that only wants AWD or RWD with a manual trans?  Pretty sure he'd love to Challenge it.

I've had a 1999 2.8L engine sitting around for a couple years. I'll get a look at it tomorrow, but pretty sure the pan is good and I can send it to whoever gets the car if that helps.

Pretty cool first car and definitely a cool challenger. I hope you get it.

In reply to Stampie (FS) :

That would be within the spirit of how it got in my hands, so that would be fine!

I actually have an oil pan and gasket. And a cv joint boot since front driver is torn. Lots of new light housings to fix from the crash, but not sure what lights work or not.

Let me send it to Lil Stampie and figure out how to get it. By no means are we calling bids.

He says he'd like it.  I mean it makes sense to give a new driver a beat up AWD car right?  Let me figure out pick up if that's cool with you.

I don't think we have a reasonable chance of getting up there before it needs to be gone.  We're giving up our spot.

Dang how hard is it to give away a free car?

Rabid, definitely don't rallyx your daily - it will fill every nook and cranny in your car with dust. Yes, even the inside of the hvac tubes.

If rabid backs out I'll promise to either rallyx it or do some incredibly I'll informed body swap and bring it to the challenge.

Well E36 M3. I want this, and I'm close by, but SWMBO would KILL me if I showed up with another random car.

Sorry stampie, wish that coulda worked out.
Rabid- you're next in line, then Robbie.

I should note I would like it out sooner than later- scheduling the surgery ASAP, and since it's in borrowed space, sooner is better.

I would have loved to see this end up with Stampie, but it is a long way to retrieve it.

More importantly, good luck with the surgery and recovery.

I appreciate the offer but it sounds like RabidBullFrog could use it more.  Lil Stampie is still a couple of years away from driving legally.

I won't be able to get there till this next weekend, Friday or Saturday. If you need it gone before then that's fine. I'll keep an eye here and see if it will work. I just accidentally sold my tow vehicle so have to arrange that as well.

I'll be gone 3/18--3/28 but would like it gone shortly after that!

I have the title, but not sure I signed it into my name. Will have to figure that out but I can definitely do it!

I won't be able to come get it till April 3rd since this weekend doesn't work. If you have someone able to get it before then feel free to let them have it. I have a truck and trailer lined up just need to wait for a day off work to come get it.

That's fine! If you could make it later that sunday, that would be perfect!

That Sunday is Easter I'm not sure if that will work. How would that Friday work(4-2)? If not I'll get my Sunday plans nailed down and see if that will work.
