A good friend of mine has a car in the family that they're looking to sell and I told her that I knew some folks that might have some interest. As I'm going through the information they sent me, I'm discovering that they skipped some pertinent details, like what year it is, but I'm sure a picture should be able to set that straight:

Those are the only photos they sent me so far.

Anyway, here's the detail I've got:

The Seller's Family said:

I don't have a lot of details; what I have is listed below.

After buying it, dad drove it on a regular basis for a few years. Then I started driving it, typically only 3-4 times a year. I would change the oil and the plug and do basic maintenance. I believe dad had the tank relined at one point b/c it was rusting out. The car hasn't been started or driven in a few years so you have a lot of potential for dry rot with the rubber parts. I drained most of the fuel and pulled the battery a few years ago. It has not been started since.

I believe the roof was leaking a little bit around the rear window.

Price: Let me know what you think is fair. My parents can't afford to give away but aren't looking to get rich off it/ Like me, they would also like to see it end up in a good place. With just a brief search online, it looks like they're going for anywhere from $7,000 ish up to the $30k and $40k range for the mint vehicles. Clearly, I think this one lives near the bottom end of that range until you give it some TLC. "

I'd be happy to put any interested parties in touch with them. I'd offer to also take a look and send more pictures, but I'm somewhat biased since this is my friend's family and also I'm not going to be around much until around June 5th. I'm sure they'd be happy to get you additional pictures, though, and if you can wait until the second week of June, I'd be more than happy to check it out and give you the run-down!

If you'd like me to get you in touch with them, just drop me a PM!

Thanks!

Looks like it's a 71 or 72. Would make a nice cruise-in car.

Funny, when those cars came out in 1971 I thought they were way cool! Today I think they are the least loved Mustangs after the Mustang II's. I have seen a few Boss 351 models at car shows and they are OK. This car being a convertible is also nice.
