Drape some E-type body panels over that.

Sounds cool until you realize that it is at least a foot longer and a foot wider than an E Type. IMCA style modifieds are large cars.
Dang it dude, that's fairly close. It's cheap and it's blue. Just not sure what to do with it.
Start looking for vintage tin with rotted floors and within +/- 5 inches of the chassis wheelbase. I've probably done exactly that 10 times looking at bare chassis.
