I received a near twin to this car when my older sister moved on to a near new 67 Mustang. I was grateful for the free wheels, but I always thought that the mid 50s Plymouths were some gawd awful ugly cars. If there had been some way for me to drive that car without ever seeing the front half...I think I would have been ok.
As a "saving grace", they are nearly impossible to kill, have bodywork that is almost impervious to denting, though NOT rust through (if not taken care of), and are decently engineered.
My sister would be highly amused to see the price on this example. I am reasonably certain her's cost less than a $1,000 when she got it as a 10 year old beater.
