My fav. A few years ago a good friend overseas was buying a TR2 from BC. Asked me if I'd mind popping over to take a look.

Had to very politely explain it was a 4,500KM trip ;)

I ask who vetted the car because it was supposedly a reputable firm. The stuff that was missed does not seem to be acceptable for anyone who has even owned an LBC, let alone professes any expertize that they are charging for.

Yeah clearly the car was in the same state as mine when I bought it.

I ended up replacing a lot of metal. Regardless 18.5 is a nice coin for the car.

At the price I'd still take a lose at what it cost me to do mine I figure. I stopped counting long again.
