I saw this in my neighborhood. Dont know anything about it but looks like a fun good project if you like Fairlanes.

When I was born, I came home from the hospital in my Mom's 68 Fairlane vert ( Freida the Ford) So I've always had a soft-spot for those.

Most asssuredly a '64. It should clean up nicely. The '63 had vestigial fins. I had a '64 coupe, black with red stripe. I pulled a motorcycle trailer all over the Southwest with it for years, going racing. 260 two-barrel, last year for the two-speed Fordomatic. My father-in-law bought it from a little old lady in his small hometown. She drove it 8 blocks to the post office and back every day. It never got warmed up. 1000 miles a year and changed the oil every 3000. 10 years of this and she had to put a short block in it and sold it because it was "unreliable." He drove it awhile and gave it to me with 31,000 showing. I drove it another 210,000 and sold it to a friend who admired it. Lovely little car. Needed a front end rebuild every 60,000 and that was about it. I still can't believe the transmission was trouble-free through all that.
