So I've been working on my 3800 Saturn build and have a couple problems I have yet to overcome. First is I'm not sure what clutch to use every 3800 to getrag f23 swap I can find says the use a spec stage 3 but they don't specify which one. Spec clutch offers swap clutches for 3800 to fiero 4 speed, 3800 to fiero 5 speed and 3800 to f40 6 speed. To clarify the f23 came out of a 02 cavalier. My second question is the clutch line I bought a adapter to convert to 3an braided line and the fitting fits perfectly in the Saturn mc but won't for the cavalier slave any idea what my best option is?

Thanks

Jon

Not familiar with your specific case, but the 3800 side would be the pressure plate, and the trans side is the clutch disk splines.

I'd search around but I'm willing to bet the f40 and f23 have really similar input shaft splines. If that is true, then the f40 swap clutch will work.

No clue on clutch line. I'd take both ends down to a local hydraulic shop and see what they say.

I did a little research in the clutches that came in the fiero camaro and cavalier and the fiero and cavalier both use a 1" 14 spline input on the transmission so I'm guessing the 3800 to fiero 5 speed conversion clutch should work? Btw both the camaro and f40 are different

Sounds like you nailed the conversion clutch part!
