Luckily, you can turn off front wheel drive with a button in the console.
I second that these cars had nice lines. Very individual and recognizable, too. Then again, I've always thought the last of the Cutlass Supremes were pretty well designed too.
I spent 20 minutes looking for the scene in "gleaming the cube" where Christian Slater breaks the ignition switch in the trofeo with a skate key. I failed.
I wasted my time trying to find the commercial with Harry Belafonte's kids. I couldn't find the video but here are the words if you want to sing along at home. To the tune of the Banana Boat Song: Troféo,
Trofé-oh-oh-oh!
It’s a new generation and we want a new Olds.
Sequential port fuel injection, anti-lock brakes,
(?) come and they want a new Olds.
Visual Information Center, handles great.
This Oldsmobile is not our father’s,
New generation for the sons and daughters.
Trofé-oh-oh-oh!
This is the new generation of Oldsmobile.
Edit: I did find the Nimoy's selling the dustbuster van http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yl7FwcHyNlQ&feature=player_embedded

Ha, I haven't seen one since one of my teachers in high school drove one. He had a red one first, then traded it in on the dark blue.
