The D-body Cadillacs are based on the same chassis as the 1994-1996 Chevrolet Impala SS, Chevy Caprice, and Buick Roadmaster with only a longer wheelbase separating them. Coincidentally, all of the speed parts built for the Impala fit the Cadillac. It has a nice interior and is daily driver ready. It just received new brakes, new wheel bearings, new belts, new hoses, new starter, new battery cables, new shocks, and new wheels and tires. To finish the car and make it "perfect" it needs someones love and attention to adapt or fabricate a center console.

OMG, yes!!! I've always wanted a cool but more modern big cruiser that I could take the kids to cruise nights with. This is precisely the kind of thing I would want.

Needs console and a steering column without the column shifter... I'll bet an Impala SS would have contributed both.

Even better would have been figuring out a way to shift the transmission with the column lever (how to do this is becoming a white whale for me). Then camouflaging the clutch pedal so that it blends into the carpet at first glance.

MR2 shifter assembly flipped on its' side, push-pull cables, and something clever at the transmission end, maybe even another MR2 shifter being driven by the cables instead?

Also, thing thing really needs some custom badges which are visually similar to the "d'elegance" badges but say "d'rifto" or "d'ragstrip" or something instead

I would drive this every day, but probably change out the wheels for baby moons or Cadillac crested hubcaps.

That is more or less what I'm envisioning. Some sort of cable-shift adapter set-up. In theory, once sorted out, the same parts could be used to remote shift a T-5 in Cobra replicas so the cars don't have that awkward "horizontal" shifter.

I'd go with Impala SS wheels, just for the subtle tip-off to those who paid attention.

Just re-read the ad and caught that they used a ZF 6 speed as opposed to an LT1 T56, like I would assume. Forgot the C4 'Vette even came with that box, guess I'd just assumed they use the T56. Anyone know how those boxes compare in terms of ratios and reliability? You know, just for future reference...

I came up with a push-button clutch actuator. proportional switch gives fine-tune control. Switch drives a high-speed valve that operates a pneumatic cylinder that, in turn, activates a remote clutch master cylinder. With air suspension, it may already have a compressor in place to run the system. No clutch pedal, just a 1/2" long button you could mount somewhere discrete.
