Looks like it could have started out as an aluminum bodied ginetta.
My guess would be a jag of some sort.
I'm not trying to swear, but those headlights sure look like some sort of Berkeley.

Nope...But there were no fewer than 3 of those at the event.
I guessed Daimler because the centrally located carburettor(s) would rule out most fours and the Jaguar six. Plus, the Daimler is really ugly, so I could see tossing out the body for a special.
Now I think I see it: Lotus Eleven (with a Rover V8?).
Lotus 11. The fender flares hide it's shape a bit.

looks rotary powered.. it has only two velocity stacks up through the bonnet
