What Keith says is true.

There is a truly staggering amount of info to be had on Miata.net.

You will have 2/3 of the Holy Trilogy. Why stop now?

I've already owned four e30's.

I've heard that this Braille battery fits, and weighs 11.5 lbs.

Miatanet is notorious for sheep-like miata owners - Keith is a sponsor there (ie he sells his FM products) so he is biased... sorry - im not a sponsor at miatanet so I can tell you the truth: alot of people come here at GRMS to talk miata because they cant stand miatanet...

I think you're being too harsh. Hell, I'm pretty averse to sending traffic anywhere except here or or to our Classic Motorsports site but if I'm looking for Miata technical information I usually find it at M.net.

That said, I don't hang out there for conversation.

That's bullE36 M3 and you have no standing here to criticize Keith, a long standing and productive member of GRM's community. Nobody here has any reason to trust you over him. Ease off.

Alright, so don't go there. The rest of us are big boys who are plenty capable of determining if it's a good place for us to hang out or not.

I've been a M-net member for nine years. In that time it seems that the demographics there have shifted, with the average member becoming younger and more interested in DIY work and mods. I don't hang out there, but I check in for useful info and advice at least once a month - which is much more often than I turn to clubr or mturbo, for instance.

It's really awesome that you've managed to derail at least half of an otherwise productive thread with your rhetoric. I'm sure the OP is quite pleased with you, and will still have the wherewithall to draw his own conclusions about the site that you seem to have a vendetta against enough that you've taken it upon yourself to "save" us all from them.

Wow.

You don't have to censor your opinion. However, attacking or arguing others' opinions on the same subject to further your opinion is juvenile, at best. Say your piece, then back off.

Voicing an opinion does not have to involve being a jerk. People often confuse the two for some reason.

Dude , you keep telling me HOW and WHAT I should say! Im not arguing - im offering an opinion that some of you ladies dont like- re read the thread. I offer an opinion about miatanet and simply respond to those responding to me - what do you think Im going to change my mind becasue someone has a different opinion?

I'm not telling you what to say or how to say it...

This is the last place i would have expected to see forum bashing.

You ease of! Sorry dude, I'm not attacking your human god - Keith. I'm simply telling you the truth -- sorry if you think its harsh, but you know what they say about the truth....(it hurts). I dont care about anybody 'trusting me' or whatever - I dont subscribe to sheep mentality - which is what miata.net is. You have these e-gods there with 26,567 posts next to their avatars who many think are somehow gods or experts on miatas. Everyone knows, even Keith, that miatanet is so closeminded its not even funny. The irony of course being that the forum is about one of the funnest cars ever made. Go there and talk about, say raceland coilovers, or cheap ebay parts, or ANY other mod thats not sold at Keiths store and you will get flamed. Thats what Im talkin about...

Are you a gun owner? I ask, because on the gun forums I frequent alot of people call the rest of the masses "sheep" or "sheeple". They all think of themselves as "sheepdogs" or some such.

I gotta get me some popcorn

There IS a ton of great information on that forum, everything that has ever been asked about Miata's since AL invented the internet is able to be found. You need to look at more than a few threads to make sure the one you like is indeed a good answer.

The one problem I was having with my race car, there were many people that offered great advice (none were correct, but thats an entirely different issue) But none the less, folks were truly trying to help. Some went so far as to personally call me on the Telephone to try to help, and they really dont know me all that well other than I sell parts. Sure there were a few posters just agreeing with something. Its easy to just skip over that

The sheep thing? well I see it there quite a bit with a certain select few, "ya thats right bob!" or "what he said x 100" lol but you can find that on any forum and just blow by it. Unless you like to get agitated, then read it all ;)

Is it a different attitude than here? oh heck yes. But why would I want to look at things on a clone of another forum.
