ZF automatics last longer with Dex6 instead of that weird yellow stuff.
The A-W trans in my Volvo has had Dex 6 for the past, uh, 135k miles.... I should probably change it again
Now, CVTs... use the manufacturer's fluid, full stop.

Over in Acura-land people swear by the 3x3 method for older Honda transmissions. Aka 3 drains and refills. Between each drain/fill engage all the gears. This should swap out all the fluid in the trans, including the torque convertor. Using OEM Honda ATF-DW1 ofcourse.
