I thought this was going to be about one of these------
Well done, I'm really glad you got the white not black wheels. I'd really love to drive one too see what they are like. I'd love to see a back to back test between an Abarth and a Fiesta ST.
Note, in the rest of the world the Fiesta is a B car and the 500 a sub B (In fact the 08-14 Ford Ka is the same car as the 500) so they are in a different class, but here they are each others closest rivals.
Welcome to the club guys! :) A few more GRMers with these and we'll need our own sub forum. (J/K PLEASE no more subforums)
And as a sad note from mine, if you ever need a new windshield it's gonna run you about $500 :( Just got it back yesterday.
Mine just went out of warranty so if I ever have money again the silly modifications will begin!
My boss just reminded me of the Bluetooth & extra features I need to experiment with tonight and tomorrow. Maybe Pandora from my S3? That would be sweet.
Local dealer in Ann Arbor shows 7 manual transmission 2013 Abarths in stock. Of the 74 cars listed on their site 37 are 2013s. That should be an opportunity for someone to snag a bargain.

Redundant. Fiat only puts a manual in the Abarth, no slushbox models :)
Truth. And when I picked mine up last night the salesman showed me an email he referenced me in to his bosses, mentioning I'm "a car enthusiast who's active on internet automotive forums" and our recent interest. He also mentioned he sold two more since Tuesday. Want one? Get it while you can!
So yeah, this happened:
Couldn't pass up the deals. Still not entirely sure about the scorpion on the driver's side. The car already calls enough attention to itself.
Figure I'll leave it on for now, if I decide against it, it shouldn't be too hard to remove.
6100 miles on mine so far. I wish it had a mechanical limited slip and manual steering but there's not much else I'd change.
I was considering one of those or a BRZ...
I ended up buying an 18 year old Boxster instead...
Neat car. I really like the white wheels.
I test drove two on Saturday, a sport and an Abarth. I'm not going to be the majority in this thread. I didn't like them. I can't stand the tall seating position. I sit upright to begin with and my hair was touching the headliner ( I'm 5'9" with a 30" inseam). They drove ok and got out of their own way but I could not get comfortable. Also the suspensions were popping like something was loose. Enjoy yours but they weren't a fit for me.

The Scorpion is awesome.
All these new Abarths are making me jealous. They all look good. I really like the Grey.
So I am off to play with my new Abarth. Up side, my insurance is cheaper and so is the maintenance, down side, I can't take it any where.
Assetto Corsa racing game Abarth.
Gosh, three of you!? Did you get a free signup for the Fiat Driving Experience? I think my sister did when she bought hers a while back. Anyway, I've never seen a thread like this where three people simultaneously bought the same car.
I'd like to know if one of you takes yours to the track. I wonder how they behave. Flight Service's picture makes them look like tons of fun.
In reply to CGLockRacer:
I won't argue with you that the seating position is a bit awkward. I like sitting high, part of the reason I got the non-sunroof model was for the extra headroom. My Honda Fit's seating was a bit awkward, too, and it took me over a month of fiddling to find the exact seating position that was comfortable, same for the Miata before it. I suspect in a few weeks, I'll have this car figured out.
I didn't hear any odd noises from the suspension when test driving it or driving it home. Wonder if it was the roads or something else was wrong with the specific cars you were driving?
One of us, one of us, we accept you, one of us!
Which dealer? That looks like the one that was next on my list in Dublin, not sure it had the scorpion on it. I remember one at King's had the scorpion, is that it? What other options?
And the closest driving experience to us is in Joliet IL in August, we need to sign up now!

I've discovered 500madness.com and they have a short shift I'm curious about.
I've ordered a couple things from 500 Madness, and am ordering my wheels when I get my tax return. If you have any questions about the shift kit call them. They were helpful whenever I called.

Yup, got it at Kings. Basically, same option as yours, except for no sunroof. Its got the Comfort/Convenience package, Beats Audio package, 17" wheels, and obviously, the stripes.
Haven't decided if I can make it to one of the Abarth Experience events yet, due to a lack of vacation time - Gonna have to make some adjustments to take time off. If I do, it'll probably be the Joliet event, but Daytona sure is tempting. I've already been on the oval there, it would be neat to check out the road course.
Offhand, anyone know if the rear view mirrors are body color under the vinyl? I'm thinking they'd look better red than white, but if its just black plastic, I'll leave the white vinyl on.

unfortunately my screen shots are just of my new video game. But if the physics are even close, those things are a blast.
