Super clean grocery getter. You can make it a muscle car, but it would almost be a shame to do it.

Gotcha. It's v. nice. I wish wikipedia provided car lengths so I can compare how long different models are...
Another Nova that I'd want, hasn't been started in 2 years though. Still playing the waiting game..

Oh I like those hatchback Novas. I will let the real experts chime in, but that does not seem like a bad price if there is actually no rust.
I will sell you a rust free 61 falcon for 2700.00 take the 2300.00 you have left over and dr op a v8 in her and have a great sleeper

Yeah but why replace door jams if there is no rust? Sounds fishy

Do this.

Really. Really. If it's rust free, do it. These are getting rare-er and a crate engine would be an excellent first project for you.
That would be sweet, but I don't have a garage to do a project like that :(.
This looks cool. 430 cubic inch buick riviera

A crate motor can be a pretty easy weekend job. You can do it outside.

A tiny bit of Google foo and...

Buy something...anything.
That Cougar is cool. I want to do one of those in that usual Cougar kind of awful green, except satin-finished. :)
You still haven't bought anything? Cripes almighty!
$7400 for the world's cleanest 78 Nova
Winner, winner, chicken dinner $7500 for a legit 73 340 Duster!
Black on Black 71 Monte Carlo for $7500
World's prettiest 72 Cutlass still at $6500
The 5.0HO/EFi Maverick is still here, too.
Cherry 74 Comet GT, with vinyl top and trunk rack
Great 302 project Comet for $2200
Neat little 69 Falcon for $5500 (I especially like the 83-85 TBird Turbo seats and center console)
Clearly though, you need to own a Cadillac Dually.
If you can't find anything out of that, you aren't serious. I'm out.
Datsun1500 wrote: In reply to pres589: It's kind of cool, but not sure if its what I want. Do you think it's cool? Will I need to work on it? Is it worth $4500?
Probably need to take it for a ride. Kind of like some people do to others in forum threads.
In reply to Datsun1500:
You will need to work on it and probably swap the engine because that's the only part of the car that matters. But maybe not? We need to make more guesses.
As to the value, the only way to figure it out is to look at other cars from different years / OEM / target audience and see what those might sell for and compare them to this one.
