God help me I love the look of those quarter windows and the rear hatch glass. Not so sure about the Camaro rear end, but the greenhouse is aces.

I think it's an interesting design.... I'm just not sure it's a Corvette. Chevrolet created its own iconic visage by keeping the twin round tails, and now they're all square and weird. Reminds me of when Jeep did the square headlights on the Wrangler for that brief period... cool in its own right, but sometimes you just don't mess with that.

Kinda looks like a Viper mated with a 370Z. Really long hood, really short deck.

That side profile

I'm in love.

Back end looks better than I thought it would. Love the lip spoiler integrated.

My first reaction to the front view was "yuck" but the profile is spectacular. Took me a couple of minutes to get used to the new looks but I think I really like it. Let's hope it goes at least as well as it looks.

I think it'll do well, but I hesitate to even ask how much they're going to go for.

WOW! Talk about disappointing!

They didn't touch on any of the neat new build and technological aspects.

And that BUTT!!! It just keeps growing. If they were hiding a mid engine back there I could understand, but it just keeps getting thicker.

THE WEDGE IS BACK! It reminds me of the old TR7.

I was hoping for so much more.

That just proves you don't know me at all.

(old rope is so much softer and more pliable.)

And, it gets the job done with less-pronounced ligature-marks...

Front half is absomotherberkeleying killer, back half is confusing in appearance at first... like so many sports car designs fused into one... like they couldn't decide on one direction so they combined them all. Tail lamps... meh.

But... all will be well again when we see the first car in the showroom or on the road.

I think we need to all remember that the Corvette has had both Square and Oval taillights.

I didn't like the rear end in the renders that have floated around the net for the last two weeks, but seeing it in real life, I think looks good.

I may be in the minority, but I don't think most of it looks all that different from the previous one from the side. But maybe because I don't pay much attention to the details of vettes. I thought the previous one looked really good, so I suppose that I think this one looks really good too, since it doesn't look drastically different.

Except the rear profile. Those lights. They look dreadful. Those lights look like crap on the ugly camaro, and they look like twice as much crap on an otherwise attractive corvette.

Also not a fan of the "skinny" hatch glass. Visibility looks lousy.

I may have to fight the wife on that though, but we'll see.

I'm honestly underwhelmed. It's certainly not bad, but it didn't stun me like the C6Z did when it came out.

On the bright side, this means a C6Z is in my future!

The highlights:

-- A new aluminum 6.2-liter V8, with direct fuel injection and cylinder cutoff technology, cranks out 450 hp and 450 lb-ft of torque. It mates to either a six-speed automatic or seven-speed manual transmission with active rev matching. The new Corvette Stingray will rocket from 0 to 60 mph in less than 4 seconds -- and deliver up to 30 mpg on the highway.

-- Every Corvette Stingray gets an aluminum space frame that weights 100 pounds less than the steel frame used on the 2013 base Corvette. The wheelbase is an inch longer and the overall length is just 0.2-inch longer than a Porsche 911. The front and rear tracks are nearly 1 inch wider. Weight distribution is an ideal 50/50. All this helps the Corvette Stingray pull 1.0 g on the track -- with smaller tires than the current car--and cuts down the turning radius by nearly 2 feet.
