If one was so inclined, would there be a way to drill two holes in a pair of aluminum rotor housings that did not use power?

Just curious

Thanks

John,

I like the way you think. Though wouldn't a 44 mag work better as you could fire it from inside the housing creating only one hole!

It might take a few blades.

I have a hand crank drill... It would take awhile, but would get the job done.

Modify a foot pedal sewing machine to operate a drill press.

You asked for two holes, I gotcha two holes.

EDM?

Should have been more specific, a hole in each housing, two holes total

EDM sounds interesting. I'd need a ruling. If my electrical source is a power company, it probably doesn't count. Maybe if I can generate my own electricity (lightning in a bottle?)?

The sewing machine pedal makes the most sense.

The caveman thing just appeals to me. I hope it's around for 2010.

In all seriousness, fixture it into a vise or some sort of holding fixture on an old milling machine, and rig up a hand drill with a good end mill bit where the motor used to be. You could probably get an old milling machine for cheap since you really don't care about its condition or anything. It actually wouldn't be that bad.

Dirty Bird, Sweet pistol! What is it?

Aussiemg, just long enough 'til I get the next one built

Ideally I'd get 2 seasons of autoX and 4-8 track weekends. Might be to much to ask on a budget.

Jeff, d00de, that's an IMI Desert Eagle. You know, like Arnold uses. They have some functioning issues, according to some, like they jam. But that .50 AE makes a big hole. You'd be better off with John Brown's solution and some AP ammo, available at your local gun show. API if you're really pissed at them rotors.

Doc, I thought that was the Eagle, wasn't sure enough to commit though. Them big calibers cost to much for me to shoot. I hear the Baby is one sweet 9mm. I love 9's.

Sodium hydroxide solution and a non-reactive form to shape the holes. Finish with a file.
