After looking at the paid entries there doesn't seem to be any stand out car. I guess the guy with the under powered, over rated Energizer bunny is coming from the west coast. But since mpg isn't a Challenge factor, his car won't be either. Then there's Wheels, I'm sure we can expect some 10's in the 1/4 with a car that can't make the turn at the end of the 1/4... Hong gone? Could it be a West Side story year? Is BC and gang coming, just the numbers game could make one of their 2nd's into a 1st; this would be a bad year to miss guys. Gundy always looks great, will that do it??? 19 days and not a clue.
But then there's Uranus....
Isn't everyone that makes it to the Challenge a winner?!?

Yep..if my ticking time bomb of a car goes, turns and stops when I get down there, I'll consider myself a big winner!

The car from the left coast goes faster and turns better than you think. I bet Bryce comes home with the hardware.

I bet he comes home with "Hardware", not "The Hardware".
Wow, you guys are really setting the bar high. Maybe it should be like elementary school sports where everybody gets a trophy...
I guess Bryce is undefeated, but what works on the west coast doesn't usually add up to much over here. Maybe it just seems fast from some of that legal herb??

I'm amused that my "over rated" car is the first to come up in your lame attempt at trash talk. Looks like it has caught your attention too, huh? You sure aren't very funny for being a clown, but I guess it doesn't take much to impress a bunch of seven year olds so it was probably a wise career choice.
I have no grandiose expectations of winning, if I did I would have made swapping out the 2.Anchor and doing suspension improvements a higher priority. I wanted to bring the first fun/cheap/quick/DIY hybrid to the $2009 and did. Twice. Top that, you clown.
Bryce
For those playing along at home, the "trash talk score" seems to be one point to Nashco.
Since I heard about the challenge about a decade ago and this will be the first year I've managed to make it I'm pretty happy.
Just hoping the crapola doesn't finish last.

X 2 and that is all, nice comeback Nashco
Let me put it this way in my life Ive been speechless twice one of these instances was when I saw the Nelson's entry this year its indescribable. Id be surprised if they dont come home with the hardware.
That being said OP would have done well around the cones but that's about it
How could the lead sled not catch my eye with the 11 pages of promotion. There's a reason why there hasn't been a fun/cheap/quick/DIY hybrid, kind of like there hasn't been a fun/cheap/quick/DIY 3 cylinder Cadillac, but there was a fun/fast/cool/DIY Zamboni. You would think since you were creative enough to built the first fun/cheap/quick/DIY hybrid that you could do better than the used up clown jokes. OK, so you're not coming to compete you just want to bring the first fun/cheap/quick/DIY hybrid , so what's coming that will wow everybody?!? Anybody??
Methinks Andy is the one flying under the radar

There's a difference between not coming to compete and not expecting to win. Kind of like how I expect you to compete, but I don't expect you to win. I only wish I had used up clown jokes, that would mean I had another clown buddy I could have been making fun of for years. ... Oh, I guess they might seemed used up to you, that falls back to the career choice thing. I thought people would enjoy the Fiero project, which is why I've been "promoting" it, but I bet I'm not the only one tired of your trash talking Uranus-packed posts.
I expect Andy to WOW, he always does and practice makes perfect.
Bryce
Bryce, do you know why you shouldn't rassle a pig? 'Cuz it gets you all muddy and smelly, and the pig savors the attention.
i think lots of people come for the fun and enjoyment with very little expectation of winning. Some have personal goals with their rides.....
Anyways....I've got 16oz gloves and 4oz gloves. Thursday night showdown before the challenge! NO HOLDS BARRED! CLOWN VS. A NACHO!
I will be your cut man Bryce.
I figure the Clown vs. Nacho is a good challenge car matchup. They both have a history of winning classes with no other entrants.
If I savored attention I would keep an 11 page thread going and going and going and going, more than one connection to the Energizer bunny.... Bravo Joshua, unfortunately not true on my side, but still funny. A clown vs. a Mexican chip, I'll come hungry.
So I guess if Andy's car can handle at all he's got it, since no one else is coming for it? Unfortunately it's not like it was the first 5 years.
The first 5 years kindof remind me of the GRM take on early 911's and Jags: History says they are fast, but a minivan with slicks could beat em.
Come on clown-bring an overall winner. Nobody cares if you won the sub 1k class 5 years ago.

You are a bit presumptuous speaking for everybody else, but I have to assume you can speak for yourself though.
I'm trying to figure out if this is supposed to be humorous.
"bring an overall winner" You history isn't very good, we did the first 2 years. Then it was the next 4 years with the 1K class, that beat about 95% of the overall class back when there were a lot more entries...
I'm not speaking for anybody, I started a thread seeing what's out there. In the distant past, anybody with something worth talking about was on the forum. Maybe everything is top secret now, like a twin turbo Corvette with a snow mobile blower and heli turbine for under 2K, chuckle chuckle... Or maybe Andy is the last of the competitive group and everybody else wants to come sing around a campfire (burning cars are not allowed anymore).
So, everybody else....
