Okay. I will admit it. The main reason I want to rallycross a '95 M3 is not (just) because they're downright cheap, excellent platforms, and the '95 is the only year that they had "square" wheel sizing. So is a 325/328.

No, it has to be that car because of GRM. I want to say with honesty that my car is E36 M3.

It apparantly doesn't just affect me, but by osmosis my wife as well. I posted this thread a few days ago. Porsche PDK Q's Once a few people had responded I showed it to my wife. She read through it and didn't need to ask what 'Bob Costas' or 'Berkley' meant, she just got hung up on my mistyping 'of' instead of 'off' in 'Get off my lawn', that was the only thing she couldn't read.

And I love the poor decision making part. Driving an R53 Cooper S rather than a Corolla as a family car is much more fun. Even better is embarassing my 17 year old daughter with the flags on the roof (4 flags total.)

i caught myself saying "berk you, Pontiac!" last night while working on a 67 catilina.

I also spend waay too much time here, and am now looking to add to my fleet with either a Volvo v70r or jaguar xjr. neither of which I have ever heard of before here.

Guilty!! Most of my projects would be done if I just opened up the catalog and click order . . . This would be ideal since I don't have any fabrication skills, but where's the fun in that??

Nope. But since it's already broke how much worse could I possibly make it?

I live vicariously though the build threads. My job doesn't afford me the time to have a serious project. So I get all sorts if terrible ideas that I bookmark for when I move onto the next phase of my life.

I bought an RA29 Celica from the classifieds, dragged home a disgusting Saturn SL2 and rehabbed it, then white knuckled a beat MX6 GT 2.5 hours home in the dark and am bringing it back from the brink. Nah, not at all.

Ive always been a gearhead, I work with aircraft, but my true passion has always been cars. Ive known about this magazine for a while but I recently subscribed. I'm reading an article about (among other things) ethnocentrism and entitlement in the history of anthropology, michael bay movies, and essentialist stereotypes of 'natives'. One of the key historical figures from the early 20th century was Alfred Kroeber, professor at-wait for it- Berkeley. I knew about Kroeber, I knew he was at Berkeley, and I knew Berkeley was/is an important school for anthropology. When I first read the sentence, though, I read it as grm 'berkeley' and had to literally shake my head to clear that from my mind before I could continue reading.

Yes. After spending time here, every time I see a beat up, crappy car for sale, I think:

"Someone on GRM would love the crap out of that thing."
