Not mine, no connection, etc ... I just want them way too badly for my own good.
Probably too small for the homebuilt submarine thread, huh?

So? You put the wheels in the drop tanks and then join them with structure for you and the engine. The drop tanks become side pods with an exo middle. Now that would be cool!

My daughter has an early-00's Hot Wheels that's like that. It's two drop tanks/booms connected by a front and rear spoiler. One tank has the driver's compartment, the other has the motor. Cool concept.
Edit, found it!
They're pretty small, but that's also really cheap for belly tanks. If they were around here, I'd have bought one already.
If those were within 300 miles of my house, I'd be trying to think of a place I could stash them for a year or two so I could pull the old, "This, no, its not new, I've had it for years." on SWMBO. Its a good thing they aren't anywhere close, my pops it a pretty dependable co-conspirator when it comes to aviation junk.
When I was a kid, my parents were in a water ski club. One guy dressed up like a clown and did stuff for the shows. He also welded two of those tanks together with a small platform in the middle, then mounted a 10hp Johnson on a tube frame that allowed it to turn 360'. He drove it from a bar stool.
Just tryna help....
At first I was going to say "What in the hell would you do with those?!"
Then I thought about it for a moment and thought, "What in the hell COULDN'T you do with those?!"
