Interior looks fine to me. Leather isn't splaying or cracked. Otherwise simple GT style interior *shrugs*.

Getting really off-topic here, but it's still better than the BMW Z3 M's. Yuck. It's got those tiny delicate analog gauges with chrome bezels and needles, like some kind of '60s sports car throwback but then paired with boy racer Pep Boy import tuner special two-tone seats. It's like it can't decide what it wants to be.
The Porsche's interior looks like it's of its time. Looks fine to me.

Brb, I'm going to go get an AutoZone special shift knob and paint my center console red. It's aged like milk. But that's not here nor there - On topic I would take the c8.

My C5's interior still looks like new
Maybe its just me, but the original question is a bit like, "Which do you like better? Apples or blue jeans?"
Other than a horsepower number, those cars share nothing.

Disagree. The Hellcat cars have a presence and a respect to "normal" people. There are TONS of people that drool over them and on the street they are plenty fast to make people pee themselves in the passenger seat. The Corvette looks like a proper exotic now and a different group of people have a WOW reaction to them. If you draw a Venn diagram of Hellcat people and Corvette people there is more than a little overlap and it's the people in that middle group that this is relevant to. I can see diehard Miata guys dismissing them. Or Honda guys. Or Jeep guys. Lots of guys really.
I would take the Hellcat. I have not seen the C8 in person but from the pictures I do not like the looks of it at all and the Dodge just looks "the business".

From that point of view, I suppose you are right. Creating envy in other people is way, way down the list for me when I buy a car.
If I was 10+ years younger, C8. Now, in my corpulent middle age? Hellcat.
C8, unless you can get a Hellcat stick, then that. After all these years, I still love the Challenger styling.

The top selling Corvette ever is the '79. The engines were terrible and the chassis was great for '62, but completely hopelessly out of date among its peers in 1979.
So I guess what I am saying is that the Challenger is a way better car among its peers than the 1979 Corvette was among its peers, and both the Mustang and Camaro have seen a significant redesign since the Challenger came on the scene in 2008. That means that FCA is saving something like a billion dollars over Ford and GM, and still outselling the Camaro handily.

Also, the fact that Dodge Challenger sales are over double what they were when they came out, and the fact that it is outselling the newer, lighter, smaller Camaro and is a bit of a media darling does not really give them a whole lot of incentive to give it a major overhaul. If sales had tailed way off and it was in a distant third in the pony car wars, sure. But right now, why fix it if it isn't broken?
The way I look at it is that Dodge decided it wanted to make a muscle car and they would make this muscle car for as long as people would buy it. Meanwhile Ford and Chevy set out to make better cars trading off the name of the Camaro and Mustang. Indeed, Ford and Chevy succeeded in designing and redesigning a technically better product than the Challenger, but that doesn't mean that the Challenger failed. They're just made for different buyers. While Ford and Chevy can boast technical prowess, lap times, creature comforts, and daily livability, that's not what the Challenger was designed for. Dodge keeps stuffing bigger and bigger engines in it because when someone buys a Challenger, they're looking for something something with a v8 and stickshift that's loud, fast, and raw.

The Challenger is like the older, out of shape guy with a huge beer belly with no shame screaming "CANNONBALL" and jumping into the pool with the biggest splash possible absolutely not caring if there's a cleaner or more efficient way of diving into the water.

Corvette all day personally, but I understand the appeal of a comfy cruiser that hauls ass.

Agreed, especially considering the Guilia development appears to have been funded by US profits on Dodge and Ram vehicles - funny how Fiat has used cash from two of the big three so far this century to keep themselves afloat. I hope Ford is smart enough to never partner with them.
