Hi all, we're doing a little bit of rearranging of the forums. Over the next hour or so, you'll see a few forums shift around and a few threads moved.
Don't worry, though: We're doing this in an effort to give you all a better place to spend time, and absolutely nothing is getting deleted.
I'll check back in afterwards to explain the changes.
T.J.

Hopefully we will be able to find this thread after things get rearranged.
Appreciate all you guys do to support the forum!
Thanks for moving Off Topic away from Open Classified in the drop down "jump to" list.
This was a common place for error with both starting with O

Okay, all done! Here's what changed:
- I reorganized the order of the forums, in hopes of making things a little easier to find.
- The open classifieds forum is now called "Cars for Sale," and is designed for, well, cars for sale.
- The $2000 Classifieds forum is now called "$2000 Challenge," and is the new home for $2000 Challenge discussion. No parts or car sales here, please.
- I've added a new forum called "Parts for Sale," which is for parts for sale.
That's all! Hope this helps, everybody. As an added perk for those of you posting cars for sale on our forums, we'll now be promoting one car for sale per day from the cars for sale forum in our daily newsletter.
The subtitle for the $2000 Challenge forum sez: "No for sale ads please" and it is heavily populated with the for sale ads from the $2018 Cheapskate forum. So is it eventually going to have no for sale ads when they fall off the front page and all of the for sale stuff goes in the for sale forums? Or are you just joshin' with us?

Great changes, thank you!
Now to eeny-meeny-miney-mo the cars in the driveway to see which one gets posted up for sale...

Yes, that's correct. I moved the recent for-sale ads over, and the rest should fall off the front page soon.
Wait we have subsections? I really only use "Latest Topics", conveniently the first item on the pull down.
Do we still keep challenge builds in the build thread section, or in the $2000 challenge section?

They're probably best kept in the build threads section, at least for now.
Can we embed videos again?

I like the official inclusion of bicycles in the subforum formerly known as "Sprockets"... Seems like many of us wondered whether the ones with pedals belonged in "Off Topic".
Hope "Your Tech Tips" will result in fewer people asking questions there...
Not a big deal, but it looks odd enough that perhaps it was by accident.
The URL for the Off Topic forum changed from /off-topic-discussion/ to /-topic-discussion/
I only noticed it when my browser did a site suggestion.

Please turn the Tech Tips section into a Help! section....
Sometimes days or even weeks will go by without new posts currently in the TT forum.
And I think there is a large enough number of posts asking for help in different sections, that having a dedicated forum for it would tidy up the place and be pretty great

Came to report the same problem because I often navigate by URL autocompletion.

I think right now it's seen as a "post your howtos here" forum...not a bad idea to have a dedicated automotive help section though.
Muscle memory kept having me click off-topic and it repeatedly took me to classic motorsports. I thought I was loosing it.

Wanted to third this. Definitely a first world problem, but it seems like a change with no upside.
^It also breaks old links.
Edit: Actually it looks like it doesn't, now that I try one? Odd.
No direct path to the Classic Motorsports page any more?
I do wish the classifieds were still broken down into cheap cars I can't afford and expensive cars I really can't afford.
