Going to be in Indy from 7/21-25. Any good places to rent karts? Anything else car related going on?
There is a big and cool looking outdoor track off I-70 in Indiana between Ohio and Indy. I do not know the name but I have driven past it many times
I've been to fast times on the north side once. It has a two level track which is interesting, but last time I was there (4+ years ago), they had coated the corners with something that was slicker than the concrete on the rest of the track. Fun for drifting but not so good for driving smooth lines. Kind of frustrating.
I've also been to the outdoor track south of Indy in Whiteland I think. It was owned by a couple of the ESPN commentators. Nice track, but they wouldn't let us pass going in to the hairpin, which happened to be the best place to do so. It was a fast track and a lot of fun. I'd probably recommend it over fast times.
