update:

this weekend i repaired/replaced the following: plugs, wires, tfi, coil, cap, rotor, air intake, exhaust, console door, gauge cluster, oil press unit, water temp switch, elec fan, shifter bezel and floor seal, removed hood insulation, added boost controller (bleed style), and set timing to 12*.

good lord above, this thing screams!

total investment as of today, including tags and 6 months of insurance: $1387.04.

oh, BTW, i did fill it to the brim, with cheap stuff (supposed to run 93), and will report back my MPG for a week of 90% highway, 10 flogging like an asshat driving.

I'm getting ready to crunch the numbers on the first full tank for my white LSC. The tripminder is decidedly pessimistic at 14.5 average mpg, but it also says the average speed is 21.7 mph so I'm withholding judgement.
