BS Jonny. I would have guessed we were pretty close to the same age, or maybe a year or two older than me max. I'd say you've aged quite well.

Same here. In boot camp I looked like I was 12 years old. Still think I look younger than my mileage.

  1. I am starting to act and feel older.

This sucks.

I am too old to become a professional racecar driver.

27, I think. Youngest officer here, highest seniority. Mid-life crisis may as well already settled in. Not trading the wife in for two half her age. Maybe later...

I'm 30 and still look very young. Heck, I don't even need to shave every day. I think the no kids thing has kept me feeling young.

67 last week! No longer looking forward to birthdays but not looking forward to missing them either! The people that say 60 is the new 40 are full of s#!&.

Still working because I like working and want to and believe it is good for the body, mind and soul. Have a car project that is almost done and thinking about what might come next.

(Neil Armstong had yet to set foot on the moon when I graduated HS)

My first SCCA event working was May(?) 1970 at Pocono International. For those of you familiar with PIR, the only part of the tri-oval at that time was the front straight, Turn 3, a short stright between what would become Turn Two and Three, the 5/8 mile oval in the infield was complete, and there was a spur connecting the little oval with the big one approx halfway between (future) Two and Three.

AND ONE MORE THING: I was in physical therapy this morning (post neck cancer treatment swelling ) and the very cute 40-ish therapist asked how old I was. I asked her "how old do you think I am?" She said 54 and I said, "Bless you, my child. And, yes, I AM old enough to be your father!"

I'll be 55 in 12 days. I have a 16 year old daughter, I refuse to 'act my age', I throw those goddamn AARP brochures in the trash immediately and will NOT do the 'senior citizen specials' Denny's and similar places offer for those 55 and older. That E36 M3 is for OLD people.

Several years back I was trailriding with a much younger guy, we hadn't known each other very long. I got out front of him in a woods section, turned up the wick and left him way behind. At the next road crossing I slide to a stop, he slides up next to me and hollers 'How old are you?' and I holler back 'Almost 40'. He hollers back 'Damn you don't act like you're 40!'

WTF is 40 supposed to act like?

Beat you by a little - I was 55 in January. And I have a 9 year old daughter. She keeps me young, whether I like it or not.

Working on it. Already a year overdue, but based on how quickly I'm figuring stuff out, I hope to have an answer for you by the time I'm 73 or so...

I feel like I've almost got some guidelines for 17 sorted out.

Don't worry, if you hit puberty before you've taken a podium finish in some karting championships, you're already too old.

Next fall I will be old enough that all of my kids will have started school. The next age will be kids in college, etc. I find I have more in common with people that are at my stage in life regardless of age. I think that's one of the reasons I get along so well around here, I'm at an age where mucking about with cars is something I can do without ruining my life, which seems to be where most of you are as well.

Very interesting- we are both in the same stage. My youngest boy starts pre-kindergarten in the fall.

And I just started setting up my first, well, kind of sports car two years ago with the goal of solo racing it. On a single income it's taking a while!

Does this show up as the number 1 for everybody else?

It says thirty three when I edit, but shows up as (one) on the board.
