I don't think there is a correlation. I simply can't breathe when hot air is blown into my face. It is an issue myself and my sisters both have. Blow hot air into our faces and it is like we are gasping to breathe..
The correlation between my heat and my blood pressure is that I am -always- cold. I wind up keeping the temps in the house at 74 or I get literally cold to the touch
Sounds like we're cut from the same stock then.
The heater on my VW is perma-on (replaced stuck-closed heater control valve with tube) and it doesn't bother me in the summer.

The HVAC system in e28 5 series BMWs can be confusing to people not familiar with them - they are designed so you can get hot air out of the floor or defroster vents, but only cold outside air will come out of the dash vents.
My VW was defective like that too. Center vents got air from between the fan and heater core. I guess it never gets cold in Germany.
Fix - remove and cap off center vent ducts.

I was initially skeptical about seat heaters, but they make for a very happy SWMBO. I'm tempted to retrofit them to a few other cars.
Set heaters > Car heaters.

Set heaters > Car heaters.

You know what's better than seat heaters? Cloth seats that don't require heaters in the first place.
Plus, cloth doesn't reek.

It does when I'm done with it.
I put seat heaters in the SWMBO's cloth Mazda 3 seats... That got a lot of brownie points..
