I thought it was interesting that they made fewer Z3 Coupes than they did M Coupes, though in hindsight it tends to make sense.

I like it too, if for no other reason because of its' uniqueness.

In reply to fujioko: You wouldn't like it with a red or white exterior? I think it would work with those two colors also.

on the upside, with that dark tint nobody outside can see that your color combo is ridiculous. Just don't ever open the doors in public or put the windows down.

I always wanted a black or silver M Coupe with the Kyalami Orange accented interior. Looking back I don't agree with my 18 year old self. That green is nice.

You may be happy to know that according to This link, only one Z3 Coupe was ordered in Yellow with The Red interior. It was indeed a sunroof car.

I would not like it on a boat.

I would not like it with a goat.

I would not like it here or there.

I would not like it ANYWHERE!

I wanted an e36 m3 with Dakar yellow exterior and magma interior.

kbb.com says the thing is worth about $7100 in good mechanical condition. So already, from a price standpoint, this isn't really a great deal. The interior shouldn't be a hard fix but Duster has the right idea; at $5k, sure, but much more and this seems like a bad idea.

Good luck finding a z3 coupe for kbb prices. We seem to have this discussion regularly: kbb prices are often wildly optimistic for enthusiast/niche cars.

I sold a '99 M Coupe 10 years ago for $17k, and I couldn't buy it back now for less than that with double the mileage. The later Z3 Coupes with the 3 liter motor were pretty nice and rare. I wouldn't doubt they could fetch over $10k for a clean one.

My favorite color combination was silver with the red/black interior. I had the fairly rare Estoril blue with beige interior combo.

In reply to Nathan JansenvanDoorn:

I went on a national search via Autotrader.com and found this to be correct. It surprises me that people would consider paying $15k and up for one of these cars. If this car could be had for $7500 it might actually be a fix & flip candidate. So, I stand corrected.

I kept opening this thread, thinking "you know, it couldn't have been that bad." And every time I was proven wrong.

On the flip side, this would have been the best opportunity to get one of these to flog, not having to worry about appreciation values or anything. That's a pretty good feeling.
