...until the next autocross. Special event on Monday the 27th.
I haven't driven the Miata in an event since September. Counting the Challenge, I've been in seven events in that time.
What are you looking forward to, that's not the holiday?

No specific date, but I am looking forward to the Datsun 1600 starting and Fairlady70 being able to drive it
Dunno that I'm looking forward to anything, really. New Year's Game?
Edit: got some friends coming down to spend a week or so. Seeing them always does me good.
Ha! I'm looking forward to the last week of the year, the lady and I both have the entire week off. So I'm looking forward to turning off the computer for almost 2 weeks and just relaxing.
My business partner is retiring at the end of the year and I'm buying out his half. Dealing with the lawyer and finances is a bit of a hassle. He has also handled all the insurance, phone, utilities, advertising, quoting, sales, and general office crap for 17 years. A lot of that is going to land on my desk. There are a lot of phone numbers and email addresses that have to be updated on all of those accounts. It's going to take some getting used to but I'm looking forward to getting the process completed.
While part of me is dreading the loss of my partner, part of me is pretty excited about it as well.
Pending certain tests, we're going to Disney this weekend, sans kids. The plan was to do this every year for our anniversary, but in 8 years this is only trip #4. Still. Excited.
*edit for results: some flavor of tonsillitis, which is a relief as: 1, not Rona, 2, not contagious, 3, easily treated with steroids. She's uncomfortable, but better than the alternative. A couple days should see her in much better condition just in time for planned shenanigans.
Delivery of the new car. Just got a call today that the ETA is JAN. 3rd. Of course that means the mild winter will end now.
Next track event isn't likely until mid-March. Got a ton of stuff to work on in the meantime. Ordered a new ECU as part of a Black Friday special but that's not expected to ship until early January. Looking forward to getting that installed and playing with new features.
Counting the days until we open our next show at the theater. Our very lovely (and very new) office admin totally dropped the ball getting a contract and down payment to our scenic designer despite my crystal clear instructions, so designs arrived a month late. This means I have about 5 weeks to build a show that would normally take about 10. My butt is puckered up like it just sucked on a lemon.
Who wants to volunteer at a theater? Good lord, please volunteer and help me build this E36 M3

Wow, Curtis. Good luck. It's not the first time I wished we lived closer.
646 days until retirement...
In the near term, our NB street car is going in for paint the first week of the new year. First track day of 2022 is January 29th, have several minor things on the NA that need attention before then.
Jan 4, 2022 is the last day at my current job. Start my new job 3 weeks later. Exciting times, but still looking for housing so I'm not vanless down by the river in my new location...
1/1/21 moving back to Jupiter, FL from Woodstock, GA (far north atlanta). I never imagined that I would miss Florida but it turns out that 20 year old friendships are hard to replace in your 40's and topography and climate are secondary to relationships.
it's was a fun 2 years. But back to the humidity.
We are looking forward to moving into the new house next week. The carpet goes in Monday, movers coming on the 23rd and we are getting three new rooms full of furniture the same day. We are moving from 1200 sf to 3300+.
