I found a 2007 F150 Crew Cab 4x4 with a 4.6 and the 4r75e and I’m not familiar with these transmissions. I don’t want to buy a time-bomb.

I have one in the crown vic (08+ interceptors got the 4r75w) I just have different gear ratios than you. It lasted 210k miles of state police work and now I'm beating it to dealth. Just put a big cooler on it and do the jerry mod + tuff plate and it'll take a lot of abuse. Really their only issues is that the 2nd gear accumulator cracks the separator plate which makes 2nd gear shift soft, and they make a lot of heat because of the grampa shifting that ford wanted them to have. Hence the jerry mod making it last longer. I've towed my steel car trailer with the vic to get drywall and pulling 2k it didnt fell at all soft.
The rest of that F150 though. I wouldnt pay over 6k for it. You'd be better stepping up to 8k to get a 09-10 f150 with a 6 speed, they're just much more pleasant to tow long distances with than older trucks.

It’s a very clean-looking 2007 and he’s asking $5,000. I’ve been looking for SUV’s for the passenger seating but the Crew Cab would work and honestly we use trucks as trucks here so my Yukon was used as a pickup and I’d rather not do that. (Keep in mind I need the three shoulder belts in back if it’s gonna be a pickup)
