Them's fightin' words. Ain't nothin' wrong with some good ole learnin'
So when will you learn to say "Teach me"? Bill

I actually re-read almost every single post I add to any thread on this board. I check for proper spelling, usage, and sentence structure. "Learn me" is meant to be a bit of tongue-in-cheek humor. The grammar used by most of the people on this forum is much better than that which you're likely to find anywhere else on the internet. Loosen up and stay awhile. The wealth of knowledge in the average "Learn Me" thread is striking; I can't see how a silly title could detract from that in any regard.

There's a bit of a dry sense of humor around here.

I've been here a long time, and "learn me..." bugs me too. However, compared to some of the other grammatical errors I see on web boards it's a pretty mild one. In general, posts on GRM are pretty literate...I participate on some other boards where it can be like trying to read ee cummings poetry.

I will admit, it bugged me at first, but I have grown used to it. Like I said, it's something that caught on whether people here like it or not.
