I also am a solid pass on drilled rotors.  I'm also all for Ford factory brake upgrades.  The factory Brembos are quite good.  Factory upgrades are one of the best things about owning a Mustang; enjoy it.

So, we have determined that of the kits listed the answer is Wilwood or the OEM Brembo. The brakes worked very well at the autocross this past weekend even with unknown pads. If the brakes get changed, it will be for the convenience of fixed rotors and the ease of pad changes. That can will get kicked down the road for now. It needs shocks more than it needs brakes.

Continuing the brake discussion.

We know that drilled rotors are a no due to cracking because of the stress risers the holes cause.

What about slotted? Does a slotted rotor have any benefit at this level of motorsports or are we better off sticking to a reasonably priced blank rotor? I've always run Centric blanks with success. Even under Lemon's abuse, they don't crack or warp. That is also what I ran on the G35 with minimal problems. Are the slots a form over function like the holes or do they help a hot pad bite better than a solid disk?

I ran solid discs from Centric and never had a single issue. They are insanely heavy though. Wheel bearings will suffer as a result but they are easy replacement.

IME the slots are a net positive but a small one, directional vanes and good metallurgy are much more important.

Agreed. All else being equal, choose the one with slots - but all else has to be equal first.

I had good experience with the Wilwoods on my Miata. My instructor at the time, a Porsche cup driver (Kristin Treager), she said they were some of the best brakes she had ever driven. But I was also using Carbotech pads G10/G8 front/rear.
