Scott had an alternator die near Coralville, IL. Also apparently the accessory belt got chewed up. Team Toyota helped retrieve a new belt, and Scott had a spare alternator with him (although Toyota had an multimeter to confirm the alternator had packed it up).
Greetings from Motorsports Park Hastings!

Andy is driving first today, and managed a finish just outside of the top ten (so far). We'll see how the other cars finish.
Tom in the car now and ready to head out..
Success! I picked up a little time vs. this morning's session, officially putting us ahead of Randy Pobst in a Camaro ZL1
Two sit-down dinners in a row! This is a One Lap record for us, as we're parked at the hotel before 6pm.

We're just bracing for the inevitable breakdown(s).
Oddly enough, when we arrived at our hotel we found Brian Peters and crew working on their Corvette. The problem? Broken A/C... Andy and I nearly fell over laughing.
How 'bout some Hella Flush to brighten your morning.
Guess what road we have to drive the length of today? With the track sessions in between!
Good thing this CRX is the fuel-efficient HF model. 😎
