As part of a story we are working with eBay on, we have listed our white 1990 E30 M3 project car for sale on eBay.
We are doing a story on how to properly list a car, coming up in the next issue or two.
You guys always ask if and when any of our project cars come up for sale, so have at it:

Seems like the solution would be to keep the M3 for himself and buy the son a '94 Accord.

Hmm... watching... but would need to talk to my insurance companies first to get their opinion on the salvage title. No point in spending more on a car than they would insure it for.

No, '99 Camry.
Which he has since destroyed two engines in. Please see my other listing.
Price is already looking pretty good for a salvage M3.

I have wanted one of these for ten years now, but it looks like the price is going into the out of reach territory.
I remember passing on an M3 about 12-years ago that was $7500. Hell, even if I'd taken out a loan to buy it, I'd probably still be money ahead. ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/googly-18.png)

Agreed. But when it's getting hard to touch a clean one for under $20K...
Hagerty had no problem inuring it for stated value. One this nice without a title issue is $30-40G now. Sadly the car has no issues as the damage was minor and fixed correctly.
That is a pretty car, not in my future, but pretty car. Hope it brings you a good price.
Seems to be doing rather well so far. Lots of bids and interest.
That's a really nice looking car.
I admired the car at the Challenge this past weekend. It is gorgeous.
Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, I will miss this one when it is gone, but I can't keep them all.
And did modify the listing to add underneath shots and clarify that it is a rebuilt title.
I saw this car at the Challenge and the photos, taken on a dark dreary day, don't do it justice. I did not get super close, but it looked like a show car.

Oh well... the current bid ($15K+) has passed my budget.
Plus, somebody here probably would have strung me up when I slapped on a set of 15" E36 wheels with snow tires so I'd have something to drive this winter...

Dumb(?) question - everything functional (ie A/C)? I'm in the market for a daily ~$20k budget in mind.
Jerry, see the listing--mentions the A/C was just fixed.

Bid over $19k with 50 bids and still almost 6 days left. Impressive. The eBay Motors seminar proved useful.
M3 values are getting really, REALLY strong. 25k would not surprise me in the least.

How can it be all original and have been repaired/rebuilt.
Damn that's a good looking car! The E30s were always so tidy and the box flares make the M3 stand out even more.
Already approaching 20k. Good luck with the sale!
